Denis Nsame after reception of Excellence Award The Director of the Bamenda Regional Hospital, Dr. Denis Nsame has unequivocally stated that the hospital will put in every possible effort to make sure that it stays on top as far as the provision of health services to the public is concerned. To achieve this feat, the Director of the Regional Hospital has promised to provide services to the public without discrimination. He also wades through the story of the Bamenda Regional Hospital from it's creation. Saint Elizabeth Catholic Hospital Shisong, Kumbo

It’s Creation , Growth , Challenges , Achievements and Aspirations . By Francis Ekongang Nzante   The Saint Elizabeth Catholic Hospital Shisong was created on the 15 th of November 1935 as a small dispensary and Maternity by five Reverend Sisters from Italy. They were doing mostly deliveries and consultations at the time were just about twenty people. It was later recognised by the Government of Cameroon on the 13 th of June 1952 and given the registration number 224. On the 1 st of February 1954 there was the creation of what is known today as the School of Health Sciences attached to the hospital. The school today is training State Registered Nurses, Laboratory Technicians, State Registered Midwives and Nurse Assistants.   In 2002, the capacity of the Saint Elizabeth Catholic General Hospital continued to increase as more services were added. CAMGEW ENGAGES IN Environmental Education With Community Children

- Creates Child Friendly and Safe Space   CAMGEW has   engaged itself in Environmental Education with Kilum Ijim Forest Community children on Bushfires, causes of Bushfires, consequences and tools used in Preventing and Managing Bushfires. This took place in Oku on the 17 th of December 2021. This activity took place with 26 community children made up of 10 boys and 16 girls. It was an interactive program in which children identified the causes of Bushfires like smoking in and around the forest, burning of farms   like the slash-and-burn method of farming, the burning of bushes to hunt animals, burning by grazers to get new vegetation for animals and poor methods of harvesting honey by untrained bee Farmers. The children were made to understand that Bushfires can result in the burning of trees, hives, fruits, vegetables, animals which are all found in the forest. Preparation for the 9th CNA Conference kick starts in Douala

By Francis Ekongang Nzante The Littoral Regional Activities of the Cameroon Nurses Association CNA  took place at the  Alpha Higher Institute Douala AHID, Deido  Campus on Wednesday the 30th of June, 2021. On agenda were preparations for the upcoming 9th Conference of the association slated to take place in 2022 in Douala. This Regional Activity took the form of the CNA Littoral Regional General Assembly Meeting which took place under the theme:  “The Place of Professional  Nursing Associations In Nursing”   The Organizers included Eyong Mbu, Bih Claudine, Nankeng Victor and Ngwa Clarise. Everything was of course done under the watchful eyes of the Regional Coordinator Mr Atongno Humphrey. Cameroon Nurses Association Commemorates International Nurses Week

 By Francis Ekongang Nzante The Cameroon Nurses Association have rounded up activities commemorating the International Nurses Week. These activities took place mostly in Bamenda, the National Head Quarters of CNA and in Douala the seat of the Littoral Bureau of CNA. The Cameroon Nurses Association was created in 1999 to bring together all nurses in Cameroon under one umbrella. The aim was to make them work in harmony and to improve upon their capacities. From it’s inception in 1999 up till date, the Cameroon Nurses Association holds Annual Conferences under various themes and these themes are always indicated by the International Nursing Council. This is the supreme body that regulates the activities of Nurses all over the world.  In a press briefing with Mr Nkwain Joseph, the National President of Cameroon Nurses Association, he said this year’s theme is “Nurses, a voice to lead.
